Legal
Terms of Use
Effective for the Conduit beta. These terms explain what Conduit does, what it does not do, and what is expected of the people and companies using it.
1. Beta service
Conduit is in active beta. Features, data, and pricing may change, and some statistics shown in the product are clearly labeled demonstration data. Availability is not guaranteed and the service is provided on an as-is basis.
2. Conduit is a marketplace, not an employer or contractor
Conduit lists work, crews, companies, and bid opportunities posted by third parties. Conduit is not a party to any employment agreement, subcontract, purchase order, or bid award formed between users. Conduit does not employ workers, dispatch crews, guarantee payment, or supervise work.
3. Worker classification
W-2 employment and 1099 independent contract opportunities are presented in separate lanes as described by the posting party. Conduit does not determine worker classification. Classification is the sole legal responsibility of the hiring party and the worker under applicable federal and state law. A listing appearing in the 1099 lane is not legal advice or confirmation that the engagement qualifies as independent contracting.
4. Listings and user content
You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you post, including pay ranges, production rates, requirements, insurance status, and company details. Do not post discriminatory, fraudulent, expired, or duplicate content. Conduit may remove content, close listings, or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
5. Verification and trust badges
Verification badges reflect documents submitted to Conduit and reviewed at a point in time. Badges are informational only. They are not a guarantee of current insurance, licensure, bonding, workmanship, or financial standing. Always independently confirm coverage and licensing before awarding work.
6. Project intelligence
Project records are compiled from public filings, published reports, and user submissions. Fields may be incomplete, out of date, or contradicted by later sources, and roles marked “unknown / not yet awarded” only mean Conduit has no confirmed source. Do not rely on project intelligence as the sole basis for a bid or business decision.
7. Agent and API access
Connected AI agents act on your behalf under your account and permissions. High-consequence actions require explicit confirmation, are rate limited, and are recorded in an audit log. You remain responsible for actions taken through your authorized agents.
8. Acceptable use
Do not scrape, resell, or bulk-export other users’ data; do not attempt to bypass access controls; do not use the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conduit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from reliance on listings, badges, or project data.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms, content removal, or account deletion can be raised through the in-product beta feedback link.
